If you want to hide something from a black man, you put it in a book.

Ps: I wrote this in December 2018. A month before i began my 'a book a month journey'

I don’t know about you but I loved to read! I read everything! Enid blyton was my favorite writer as a kid. I grew out of her books into African writers by teenage. I like African Writers though I still read a few European books. The African writers series were relatable especially their explanations of the myths and mystical worlds imo. Right now, I read everything. I like Chimamanda mostly. I am learning to like anyone else but Chimamanda as well.

So here's why i started blogging again after three years!!

Somewhere along the line, my interest for reading was killed by Law school's work load. I had to read so much in school that the leisure of reading was taken away by the persistent course outline burdens and assignments. Fast forward, I have not read a good book in years. The last book I read was ... I can’t remember! Can you remember the last book you read? I however found time to read social media post and hours scrolling and scrolling on timelines for gains that are not half of that which I would have had if I sat my a## down for a good read.

So I am changing the habits. A few books a year! I am excited about my journey. I intend to review the books I read out here, as motivation to never stop reading. There is a high chance that I will get lazy. I have tried blogs three times, and failed. I just could not find the time nor find the words good enough. I am not certain how different it will be this time but I am trying.

Better to try and fail than fail to try!
